Terms of Service

Lyra LMS · Last updated September 30, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lyra LMS at lyralms.com and every page, app, tool, email link and file it serves (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Lakehouse Music Academy ("Lakehouse," "we," "us").

By signing in to, creating a login for, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use the Service

The Service is for Lakehouse Music Academy students, their parents and guardians, and Lakehouse staff and instructors. Access is by invitation only. A parent or legal guardian must accept these Terms on behalf of any student under 18 and is responsible for that student's use of the Service.

2. Your account

3. Our content and your limited license

The Service and everything in it belong to Lakehouse or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. This includes the software, the design, the stripes curriculum, lessons, checklists, assignments, trainings, quizzes, charts, recordings, videos, audio, text and graphics (together, "Lakehouse Content").

While you are an enrolled student, a guardian of one, or a current staff member, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view and use Lakehouse Content through the Service, only for your own music education or, for staff, your work for Lakehouse. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

4. What you may not do

You may not do any of the following, and you may not help or allow anyone else to do them, except as these Terms expressly allow or with our prior written permission:

Copying and redistribution

Printing or saving an assignment, chart or lesson for your own personal practice is allowed.

Scraping and automated access

Reverse engineering and security

Conduct

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you submit, such as practice recordings, assignment submissions, messages and notes ("Your Content"). You give Lakehouse a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display and process Your Content to run the Service, teach you, give feedback and keep records. We will not use a student's recordings in public marketing without separate permission from the student or, for a minor, a parent or guardian.

You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload.

6. Lesson recordings and AI-assisted features

Some features record lesson or rehearsal audio and use third-party service providers, including artificial-intelligence services, to transcribe it and draft recaps, assignments and reports. Instructors review these drafts before they are shared. Recordings and transcripts are used only to provide the Service.

7. Feedback

If you send us suggestions or ideas about the Service, we may use them without any obligation to you.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access at any time if you break these Terms, if your enrollment or employment ends, or to protect the Service or its users. Your license under Section 3 ends when your access ends. Sections 3 through 5 and 7 through 13 survive termination.

9. Enforcement

Breaking Section 4 may cause Lakehouse irreparable harm. In addition to any other remedy, we may seek an injunction or other court order to stop it, without posting a bond where the law allows. We may also block IP addresses, devices or accounts and report unlawful activity to the authorities.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of data loss.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Lakehouse will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Lakehouse in the three months before the claim arose.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Lakehouse and its staff against any claim, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard only in the state or federal courts located in Monmouth County, New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we make a material change, we will update the date above and may ask you to accept the new Terms the next time you sign in. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

15. General

If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Lakehouse about the Service and replace any earlier agreement on that subject. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them to a successor.
